Greatest Robot on Earth
Yeah - I think I can mod my DVD player to be region free with a firmware update (haven't needed to try yet), and I'm sure my computer can read it. Too bad this one wasn't converted.
What's surprised me the most about this is they use this image on the box for set 2, which is a bit misleading (That is Pluto, right? Perhaps I'm mistaken?)!

Here is the link to the thread that discusses the best of Atom discs. They each have 3 episodes for about $20:

No, that is Big Titan. Admittedly one can easily think he is Pluto.
This is what was left of Pluto:

See the link in my last post!
Ah hah! Thanks for the clarification to this relative newb - I just figured because I've seen images of the 80's/2003 version so thought he was Pluto due to the horns! Well, that makes more sense why they'd use the art then! hehe. Thanks for the link to the Japanese DVD's - good to know it's available.
Hmmm...well right now I'm planning to go back in time by watching the 2003 series, followed by eventually the 80's series, then finally the 60's series (dubs followed subs of each ep where possible) at the rate of 1 a week or so (total; not per series), so it'll be years before I'm through all the 60's (I have limited time and also find things more enjoyable stretched out - doing the same with Doctor Who). ^.^ Maybe by then some of these will be dubbed/subbed - one can hope. If not, once I'm through all of that, maybe I'll go for the Japanese DVDs and just try to understand as best I can without subs.

I purchased the 2003 season of AstroBoy on iTunes and I've been watching an episode of it almost every day ever since I got it. I can watch it on my iPod even if I'm not home, which is great! The stories are awesome and Astro is just GREAT! I'm burning all episodes on DVD so I can keep them and watch them over and over again...

It still needs a bit of work, but the bulk of the work is complete.
