The darkhorse books are in a small paperback format, which is smaller than the vertical release of blackjack. Does anyone know what size the original collections were done in Japan? Also I wish that darkhorse hadn't mirror imaged the pages just to avoid the book reading backwards with the spine on the right.

Nuff said. If I can read those Zelda mangas, I'm sure I can read the more classic comic style in it's original format just fine.

Speaking of the Zelda manga... and, more specifically, the authors of said volumes... :) I wish that was available in the US. It's not like there isn't an English version already out there (though some of the translations are questionable, and even non-existant, in the case of some of the sound-effects). You guys know what I'm talking about... don't you?

Have you tried going to Barnes and Noble? I know they have Zelda mangas there (or at least they did when I went. The English translations do exist as my friends have boughten some before and let me borrow them, so I'm sure if you just search around a bit you could find at least one.

That's... not what I was talking about. And I already have every volume except for two (the Oracles set). I was talking about the Astro Boy manga from 2005, loosely based on the '03 animated series, and penned by the same duo who created the majority of the Zelda manga (they didn't write the Link's Awakening mangas).

English versions are available in Australia and New Zealand, last I'd heard (though I'm not sure if that's changed or not). There are three volumes, total. There used to be a way to download all three volumes, but this has since disappeared. I don't think that they can be easily found on eBay anymore, either. There was one manga-reader website that had these posted (and since then, others have appeared, all based on this original upload), but just about the entirety of the first volume is missing. I would've liked to have read it, outside of a few pages (before those disappeared).

By first one do you mean the first one in the series NOT by Akira Himekawa?
There is a website called Zelda dungeon where they have most (if not all) the Zelda mangas translated to English.

Also, I'm definitely using that link to read Astroboy now! (Hehe hehe link)

I got so confused because you mixed two different mangas without specifying which you were talking about at the moment.
It was also my brain's fault for being generally stupid.

Actually, I didn't mix them up, except for maybe at first. I had already dropped the subject, though.

Butyeah, isn't Akira Himekawa the coolest? :w00t: Granted, technically it's two people (this fact, coupled with the fact that they're women, tends to surprise people), but still. The style of the Astro Boy manga doesn't match exactly with that of the show, but their style is still superb, and they did a wonderful job. :3
