Long time no see.
But guess what came in the mail today...
That's right! It finally arrived! Huzzah and hurrah!!
*dances*
(Yes, that's a giant Pokemon Heart Gold box in the background - now pay attention!)
...and it's thicker than I thought it would be...

But seriously, this is one nice book. It covers the storyboards to four episodes -
From the 1963 series: Episode 51 "The Little Elephant Pura",
Episode 90 "The Robot Fortress".
From the 1983 series: Episode 1 "The Birth of Astroboy",
Episode 26 "the Robot Vikings".
It also has the storyboards for the opening of the 1983 series.
Then, the last pages are character reference pages from both series'. (Then some pages of Japanese that I guess are either interviews or information regarding the artists and a list of the episodes along with their air dates in Japan.)
But seriously, 622 pages of history is now in my hands. And this book is practically in MINT condition, which makes me super happy. It has a nice dust cover and the pages have a soft texture to them, like a manga book.
One remark, some of the storyboards are not printed as well as others. I'm guess this is because they are either very old or they were done in pencil, which doesn't show very dark. :/ They are still legible and everything, it's just something I noticed.
Something that is funny, though - when I first got the book I was trying very hard not to smudge the pencil on the images.

Then I realized it was printed on the pages. xD That just shows how good the printing in this book is.
Now, I sure as heck can't scan all of it. BUT, I will try to put up as many scans as I can. I will DEFINITELY get some scans of the character refs, 'cause those are just too neato.
Until then, I'm going to try and figure out how to get my new Megatron action figure to transform

...(they make these things so dang difficult).
Check back in a while - will return with scans.
If I'm late, I blame Chrono Trigger.
