Hehe, it's the only forum I've stayed on for longer than a month. (Gaia doesn't count, since I do regret wasting my life there...)

I don't know, it just seems like everyone here has an I.Q. greater than that of a bar of soap, which is a rarity on the rest of the internet for some reason...

Thanks for the compliment i think- agree interest in science that would be needed for ASTRO BOY would require high level of sophisticated thinking and very loving caring people.
PS- PRETTY SURE MY IQ EASILY EXCEEDS a bar of soap- least last time i check it did- i know girls are smart- that should help me

xD I'm sure everyone has an I.Q. that exceeds that of soap, I was just making a point that the internet is a boiling pot of idiocy and it's nice to find a forum where those of the imbecilic nature do not congregate.

In short, it's nice to be somewhere where everyone has common sense. (I may still be scarred from Gaia...*shivers*)

Yeah this is definitely one of the better forums i've visited on the interwebs... all others seem to have had insane amounts of drama... I've not come across any on this forum with is... well. REFRESHING.
(Not that i can complain, I've met some of my BEST FRANDS 4 LYFE on said forums)

Also I'm sorta a trans-man/FTM but I'm pre everything still trying to get gender therapy and pretty much in the closet apart from on the Internet, sooooo... I guess you can say I'm a girl? LMAO.

ALSO OH GOD GAIA. D: It definitely is a place where unintelligent people of the Internet lurk and unnecessary drama is unleashed.
Then again, DeviantArt isn't THAT much better, yet somehow I've been on there for like 6 years or something stupid. Also I lurk some of the depths of the Internet, so i guess my argument is invalid.

Actually T. B. H. ("Hattie?") You may have stumbled upon something of substance. The fact that Astro Boy is a fictional character doesn't remove the compelling elements of the story arch that most people here seem to agree upon: respect, patience, a contemplative mind and brave heart.

Some folks simply want their cartoon/anime to be simple and direct -- lots of action, slap stick elements - pure entertainment. And there's nothing wrong with that. But Astro Boy has all this other stuff going on as well as the gags and action.

I think people who "get" that are probably going to tend to be like-minded about their place in the world and the universe. Not "cookie cutter" -- but maybe overall a bit more like Astro in spirit. So, in effect, being an Astro Boy fan might make you -- well if not smarter -- perhaps a little more sensitive to the plight of others.
