Probably! He likes Uran anyway though, so they probably would get along overall.

Sometime I see those on Uran as well. I always laugh a little because it almost looks like somebody chopped off the feet, and left two bloody "stumps!"

In the early manga, Astro was drawn like that without boots. Even when he did start having boots, Tezuka drew him without them in many panels. Though it might be due to him revisiting his manga and adding the boots, but forgot to do it everywhere. In the first episodes of the 80's series, while he does have toes, the sole of his feet still looks like that.
