Kathy (Astro Boy '80)

I recall reading that Tezuka himself didn't make the script for the 80 series.

There are several characters who become friends with Astro and that we don't get to see in later episodes. I'll give it to you that Kathy was more of a mother figure; but, to me at least, just because we didn't hear anything doesn't mean it didn't happen, since after all Astro still "lives" in between the episodes. She probably couldn't fit in any other story.

Suru fits into Astro's continuous story (in my comics) but, I do have to say, Tezuka made the best Atom comics. I wish i would have been born sooner so i could have met him before he died.... he's my Idol..... and I want to live in japan so I can feel ''closer to home'' so-to-speak. I want to make Sonic the hedgehog comics, and Atom comics when I DO get to Japan. It's my life's dream.... Im not accepted in American Society because Im a furry (for Sonic) and a mecha.... (Obviously for Astro) so, I hope that I can oneday live in japan, with my bestfriend Brianna, and Astroboynton47 ♥ (member here on the forums) ( if our relationship lasts that long, and Im not doubting that it wont, but life happens.) but, I am makeing my own Anime based on my life: the life of an Oddball, and well, I hope that I can Start my own Manga too. (man, my life REVOLVES around Japan hmy: )

So do you put your Astro comics online anywhere? And, are you basing them on the '80 world?

im on facebook, and well, i put my comics on-line there, also, i base m comics on all three. (60's, 80's AND 2003, Im not a big fan of 2009 movie Atom) its quite interesting.

As for life revolving around Japan: careful there. Japan is not exactly like its anime front, you know. It has its own dark side; Tezuka actually did express it, but in other manga that might not be appropriate for discussion this forum.

And, you really DO have a best friend Brianna or is this just a reference to Astro2003 ep36? You see, the ep36 Brianna is very obviously not Japanese.

Your own Anime? I'd like to see THAT! I did some stop motion doll animation, but if you are using the word anime this means it's either drawn or digital - and moves.

I agree; in the '03, we hardly expected to see the Princess again, but there she was, pursued by Tahomaru [Hyakamaru's evil brother].
