What I did was to give my opinion, I am not going here saying hateful comments.
I was just pointing that most doujins aren't quite reliable for those who don't like incest, homossexuality and hentai.
I recomend those who don't like that kind of content to stay away from some doujinshis, because several scenes and events may be quite revolting. Like a pic which Atom is having sex with Uran for example O_o Some pictures like that get mixed even if we are using safe search on google.
Anyway, I think the author of that picture which you submitted really wanted to show battle damage on Atom. I would not explore something like that if I made a fan comic.

People who order doujinshis online, or even go out of their way to do it on Japanese sites like I did, are smart enough to know what they're getting into. I knew very well this doujinshi would be safe and legal to import to Canada, for instance.

Just because you saw some hentai fanart on Google doesn't mean it was part of a doujinshi, by the way.

I don't really care that you don't like these awesome drawings that I spent lots of time to take pictures of and upload. Please stop crapping all over, I mean posting, in this thread.

I got to say F-Man, that one panel of Denkou is adorable! I certainly I could find a way to incorporate her into a returns story. But sadly, I have yet to do so.

I find it interesting that the Japanese legal system tolerates the doujinshis. If amateur artists in the US tried publishing their own art based on what the major studios owned they'd be hit with a DMCA lawsuit so fast it would make their heads spin.

One of these days I'd like to find out if any of the local colleges offer adult education classes in Japanese. Hanging out here I realize that I'm missing out on enjoying a great deal of available manga and anime not being bilingual.

Yes, some doujinshi can be VERY distasteful. I made the mistake once of buying one at an anime convention without really taking a good look at it and it was the worst $14 I spent in my life. The cover was for one of my favorite games and the art on the cover looked so cute and innocent, it was NOT innocent. It was the worst sort of porn one can think of. Now I keep the thing as a gag, because that's what I think it was supposed to be in the first place; a joke.

With that said most of the doujinshi I have is safe or at the very least tasteful in romance and not raunchy and gross... except that one.

I bought a cute 2003 Atlas-centric doujinshi on Ebay a couple years ago named Tora! Tora! Tora! It combined several artists into one 70 page treasure housing about 15 short stories ranging from comedic to serious. For the moment, this is the only Astro Boy doujinshi I have but am looking forward to collecting more.

Edit: This is what I get for posting without looking at the first page. Correction - I HAVE Tora! Tora! Tora! and it is very good, you won't regret getting it.

One of my daughters is going to BU in Boston. Their library has a complete collection of Rosetta Stone courses in most of the available languages. I hope she has time to take advantage of it.
