I have a friend who calls me a 'hipster' for liking it, because whenever she goes on a rant about some recent anime, I mess with her and say that "Astro did that before it was cool!" or something to that effect. We're just joking around so it's not so bad.

Fasinating stories i do not have a verry big obbsession with AB in pritiucular but more the less with all of Tezuka's work and some other Anime and Manga and especially in a country where most pepole don't even know what it is.
I'm many times being seen as weird for liking something that isn't live action being at an age that is 20 and all, while we don't even live 500 miles away from the Comic capital of the Western Word France it's just not fair.
We used to have at least some stuff on TV here but that's long gone now
And talk about other pepole getting annoyed at that everyone in the in living room always wants to go somewhere or suddenly starts talking much harder if i pout on anime from DVD or blu-ray there also just to stuborn well i guess my mom likes some stuff in pritiucular stuff like Death Note but it woudn't add up.

I actually am obsessed with so many "kiddish" things that people are used to it, especially my family. Like, every single one of my favorite movies are animated, and all my favorite TV shows are on channels for kids and teens. XD I'm such a kid at heart that when I talk to people about Astro Boy (not like I do that often, I usually try to keep my nerdiness to myself ;D), they just smile and nod. XD

I'm sure there are people who think my obsession is silly, but you can't please everyone, can you?

I'm more well-known for my Zelda obsession than my AB one, to be quite frank (although I'm probably just as obsessed, if not more so; I'll debate about this stuff, and analyze it and junk, much more than I would with Zelda- maybe I used to, but now there's "Hyrule Historia", so somebody's gone and done it all for me! :3 ). I asked my sister for that combination volume for Christmas two years ago, and that's probably all they've heard from that front since. (I DID rent the movie earlier that year, though- off-topically, I had my hair dyed for the first time the same month :B )

Guess what just the day my parents were bugging because I got a giant chocolat bar and they were saying that I should carve Astro boy in it. Then a few days later they were bugging me about my Dora doll (okay I know it's weird that I have a dora stuffed animal but I had it since I was like 4 and I don't wanna give it up) they were saying that we should give her some red boots and she would look like Astro boy.
