Mycroft was the smarter brother of Sherlock Holmes. Holmes had the ambition, he'd go out in the field and solve the cases. Mycroft just sat in his club and played cards. But if Sherlock was stumped he could give Mycroft the facts and his brother could figure it out. Not too many of the Sherlock Holmes stories involved Mycroft. You should read the Sherlock Holmes cannon. It's great detective stuff.
In Dan Rush's fan fiction "fiery and furious" he develops Cobalt as a smarter but less powerful version of Atom. (Cobalt is hanging around at MIT!)

Chi-tan may not do much other than cry and make trouble, but damn if he ain't cute.
@Penguin: I'm not into detective stories so much.
And I read your first story (you had some serious spacing issues with that one; you may want to go back and edit it in the future). It's the time-travel one and the one with Cora that I'm a bit wary of, considering I'm not in any way fond of the former's particular plot device, and I more often than not do NOT support that particular pairing in the latter.
Also, what does MIT stand for again?

I've gone back and fixed the spacing on the first story. It was the first time I'd ever done a fan fiction and I'm no English major! My Cora character is related to the one from the film in name only, my stories are in a setting of my own invention with my own characters (except Atom). Sorry if you don't like time travel stories but we all have our own tastes. Thanks a lot for your feedback though. I really appreciate it."Little Brown Fox" wrote:Chi-tan may not do much other than cry and make trouble, but damn if he ain't cute.

Thank you for this list, Jeffbert! This is most interesting! Thanks to your list it made it easier for me to find the episodes with Jetto and re-watch them; which I haven't done in a while.
It was interesting that you were very wide in your interpretation of "appearance". In "Planet 13" he only appears at the end, but yes he does appear.
It was interesting to see Jetto with his strap-on-boot rockets in "Double Trouble", one of my favorites along with "The Terrible Spaceman"!
As for his Japanese appearances, while I have a few, I enjoy them just as much when you open a new thread for an episode. So thank you again! BTW, which episode are you not sure of?

Aw, gee, Planet 13 might not be worth watching, then!
They are slowly but surely adding 60's episodes to Youtube, though. Hey, you think maybe we could start a movement to get this series subbed and on Youtube? Spread it all over the Internet and the like? Granted, there isn't a lot of places I could go, and the last petition for something like this didn't end successfully... hrmm... I suppose all that's left is to try again, eh?
@April: I was certain that the "T" had to have something to do with "Technology"! Now I like Geek!Cobalt even more.
@Penguin: I read your stories. It sounds like you made Cora look like Atom's friend Midori from the 80's series (you can catch a cameo of her in the '03 series if you pay attention to some of the later episodes). Also: you writing romance= big fat no. Just... NO. Just sayin'.
The time travel story isn't as bad as I'd thought it would be. I thought there'd be references that I wouldn't get (there are a few of them, but most of the stuff that goes over my head is the highly technical bits, and the stuff regarding locations in New York- you're WAY too specific, man!), but I actually get some of them, like the SG-1 references, even if I never followed the show to a greater extent. I'm anxious for it to be over, though, so I can read about your interpretation of Cobalt (btw, I'm fairly sure that I /totally/ know where you're going to lead up to that- nice foreshadowing!)
Also, for some reason, Poindexter Drake /really/ reminds me of Vector from Despicable me, or Mandark from Dexter's Laboratory (the latter of which I have know real firsthand experience with; I didn't have cable as a kid during that time. I discovered him through Youtube after reading about him somewhere online; he's got a stupid laugh). You know, they sort of look the same... boggly glasses, somewhat skinny/scrawny, stupid-looking bowl cut and a nasally voice...
That's sort of the image I get when read about Poindexer. O_O He also reminds me of Sidney Poindexter, from Danny Phantom- except Sidney, unlike all of the above, isn't truly evil, just under a misunderstanding, which lead to a lingering resentment. Other than that, he fits to a "T"; he even has pasty skin, freckles, and buck teeth (although his pallor might have something to do with the fact that he's a ghost...

AprilSeven: done.
I failed to take note of it when making the list; I need to compare the list with my notes, but that ain't gonna happen.

Actually I thought of the name Poindexter after hearing a Jeopardy 'clue' about the old "Felix the Cat" cartoon show (April7 may be the only one here besides me that remembers that one). Poindexter is a techie nerd type who's arrogant and leans toward being evil minded. I think I'd agree with your two examples, but I didn't have them in mind.
I'm not sure which of my foreshadowing you picked up for the future Cobalt reference but if it's the one I think it is Ur 'an' the wrong track (But THATS another story!).
Actually while I have some good ideas for how to bring Cobalt into my cannon, I still don't have all the details on track. OTOH as I hinted in a different post I've got an idea for a story with Atom on the ISS. THAT one has emerged almost fully clothed in my head in a flush of inspiration (I was on the crapper at the time). So I might do that one next. (You won't have to put up with any NYC references in that one!)
BTW I think I'll be able to wrap up the time travel story in about three more chapters, and one of them is almost ready to post. If you think I'm done with all the movie references, I've got one more up my sleeve and it's a doozy! Plus look out for references to two 'bots from the 2003 series.
Thanks a lot for your comments! Anyone who tells you that a little ego boast has nothing to do with why they enjoy writing is FOS.
