Once again I have to figure out the size issue after scanning. What is the best pixel size
so I can fix that in my corel draw so we don't end up with Poster Maximus?
DVDs use a width of 720 pixels & we all know how clean those images are.
Many newer monitors support very high resolutions, but only a few of us can afford them.
I advise using a width of no more than 800 pixels.
Height is not an issue, since we all use the vertical scroll bar anyway.
At the time when I did a lot of scanning, I used to use 100 dpi (dots per inch). It usually gave good quality images that were not too big. Monitors usually are around 75 dpi, so this value may still be slightly too high. In case your scanning software wants parameters in dpi, you may want to try around those values.
Anyway, even in the worst case scenario where the scanning software won't cooperate, you may use your favorite imaging software such as Photoshop or Gimp to resize the image to around 800 pixels large

The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.
