omg
I want them. I want them all.
Also, on the subject of the Cobalt figure, I think it might be the only figure that I've ever seen. As in, they all seem to be the same one, and I don't think I've seen others.
How much is it going for...? Or is it even still going...
Edit: *faint noises of distress* It ended... it didn't get sold... and it was almost affordable...
(I bet no one bought it bc it looked like a weird knockoff Astro Boy. Not enough people know about Cobalt... worse still, I can't find another one, and it hasn't been relisted, I don't think...)
Edit2: Apparently I was wrong; there is another Cobalt figure out there somewhere!
Unfortunately, the price on this particular set is massively inflated...

Not much in the line for Cobalt stuff, which is sad. I decided to do a little digging in Japanese auctions and this lil guy came up, being sold for about $40.

Taking another pit-stop in Japanese auctions I saw this figure of Atom in cloth clothes, something which I have never seen in a figure before. I am a little put off by his face-sculpt though... he seems very hamster-like. He's about $55.

And finally, for your pleasure, is this treasure straight from nightmares.

It's a mask... and the hair is soft looking

Yippee, who wants to stick their head in there first? It can be all yours for $650!

I also know that for some reason, the Uran figure is taller than the Atom one. She's about the same size as Cobalt, and that's not right! (iirc, she's actually shorter than Atom, who is a teeny tiny bit shorter than Cobalt.)
In my search for another Cobalt figure on eBay, I saw a lot of really neat toys, including that one toy of school boy Atom shown above. There was also a Christmas toy, and this time I got a good look inside the box, more or less. Unfortunately, I've only ever seen that particular item listed in the slightly above $1,000 range! I'd be surprised if they ever actually got any bids for it at that price. :T
Then there was a bag for the 2008... uh, Anime Expo? Oh gosh, I can't remember. But I'm fairly sure it was from the first showing of the Movie, before things were changed. I've seen another bag not unlike it listed a few times before, but while it is claimed to be from that event, it's different looking. It looks like it probably came out later, because you can clearly see Astro's final design, and even an advertisement for the tie-in video game. The second one, though, looks like a bag I've never actually seen, but remember being described before- not an exact match, but enough to pique my interest. I wonder if I can find it again; I mostly want a good look at it, because it seems to have early art for the film on it. I'm not too sure if this specific expo came before or after the changes started being made, though... I DO know that there was one that year that showed an early look at an earlier build; you can find an amateur recording on Youtube of both the event itself, and the clip. (Or at least, a clip.)
