The bans are entirely my fault, and I apologize to all. Let's not discuss it again? I am sorry.
Now . . . in other news I distinctly remember doing a show about whales, and the title included the word "Monstro" -- a nod to Disney and Pinocchio. It is not on my DVD collection. Is this another missing episode? I don't believe I have done commentary on it yet; sorry, but all the viewing now is a bit of a blur -- so much in such a short time.

Jay...I thought I'd remembered seeing something with whales on the forum. Look on page 5 of the thread "Weird Astro Boy Things On Ebay". Fauna posted a picture there of a cover to a VHS tape I believe, that has a bunch of what looks like killer whales with Astro and Uran riding one of them. This could be from the episode you're speaking of. Hope I've been of help.

Could the episode (or show, as you mentioned) be Blackie Young? I don't remember a 'Monstro' but I do remember there's a whaling ranch in that episode.

Another snappy title from our translator. Anyone else would have cut the above in half. If we know it's a space port, do we need to also know that it is an OUTER space port, and that it is R45? Does that make us extra excited? "Oh, honey, look what's on TV tonight. I know Outer Space Port R44 was on last night; but tonight is R45!"
I quite like the naming of Astroboy episodes. Other imported anime always seem to use lame puns, like "Pokémon Scent-sation!" and "Goku Strikes Back".
Although I'll concede "The Man-Made Solar Sphere" should have been "The Artificial Sun".

41 Deadline to Danger (X-bomb) is a B&W episode in which Uran is swallowed by a whale
Jeffbert's review of 41 "X Bomb" makes the comparison between Pinocchio & Atom's encounter with the whales.
