Hey is any of the BW series on DVD? I think some1 else in another thread mentioned it, but the right stuff only have vhs. Also are the videos in PAL or NTSC. I just want to check this with you guys .

Only in Japan, in Japanese.

NTSC. If you need PAL or SECAM, check around for a local dubbing place in your area. I had mine converted to PAL after I bought it (my VCR could handle NTSC, but not my TV).

I don't know if my vcr can handle NTSC..the manuel hasn't been much help either.. I'm pretty sure it can cause we only got it at least 1 1//5 years ago. And i'm sure our TV can handle NTSC cause i run 60 htz mode with my GameCube on it.

So you think most newer VCR's will play NTSC.

I'm guessing you're in Australia. NTSC compatibility has been pretty standard in VCRs for many years. Maybe a decade.
TV compatibility is lacking in the cheaper models, but it sounds like yours should be okay. My TV couldn't handle NTSC, that's why I had mine dubbed onto PAL. It was a cheap TV, my grandma won it in a raffle.

they coulda done some work with the astro boy black and white dvd series, just look at what they did with the gigantor dvd, its a damn shame what happened with the Master copies here, AstroBOY has had the biggest screw job here in the United States when it comes to recognition of Japanese Animation

Yeah thanks, while i'm waiting to see if the 80's series is coming out on DVD i'm going to get some of the BW series on VHS.

Sorry with all the questions, but i have one more. I went to buy some of the BW series from gleckner, but all he had there were all 6 volumes of the 30th anniversary edition. Should i get them, or get the actually series videos. Whats the difference? Thanks again.

Nah there's no difference. It was just a bunch more of the regular episodes that were released. You can see what's on them here.
