It was? I hadn't noticed! I thought I had seen a few videos in French lately so I assumed they were yours (didn't pay attention to the nickname, obviously).

Downloading the file right now...

Yeah, it got deleted due to a 'triple occurence of copyright violation', which concerned the 'Gutter Ballet'-song and 2 episodes of the french 80's series. I've seen the same song uploaded by a zillion of users though, without any sign of reaction of Youtube against them. I assume they just wanted to get rid of my account since I haven't been active for months.
Oh well, it never really bothered me that much. I just felt pity for the people who actually have enjoyed the french episodes.

I don't have a Youtube account but I like watching videos there. It makes me cranky when some of my favourite videos get taken off over this stupid copyright reckoning. :d oh:

Oh, don't be sorry, I knew this would happen sooner or later.

As for me, I can't take youtube's policies serious anymore, it just makes me cringe.
Overthere, kids are able to watch the dirtiest junk without having to confirm their ages, and at the same time Youtube keeps deleting videos nobody actually would bear any harm from.

Yeah. You have to be careful if your using youtube to upload videos. I included part of a song about halfway through a 10 minute video, and it was muted... I'm kinda happy though because it means someone actually watched it.
Your better off using private websites or FTP's to upload videos though.

I'm going to download the video from the FTP now, I'm curious because youtube though it was good enough to watch in the first place.

I've had a few of my videos muted and removed too. ;_; Stupid Youtube. Stupid Lawyers. And stupid copyright holders that don't know good free advertising when they see it ><

Yes, it might be free advertising, but if a copyright holder establishes an indifference toward people posting his videos, he just as well might put up a sign saying he relinquishes his copyright.

I dunno, George Lucas isn't sueing everyone who makes a Star Wars fan movie and yet he gets to keep HIS copyrights
I also have yet to hear about Disney pulling their cartoons off of youtube despite having their own Youtube channels so they MUST know people are posting them
