Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong,
Under the shade of a Coolibah tree...

Really, I could imagine Epsilon dancing to or singing this song.

I have futher evidence to prove Epsilon is Aussie!

In "The Rise of Acheron" Epsilon showed some selected fish (she protects them), many of those fish can be indentified as those from the Great Barrier Reef. It might be a coincidence, but still...

But of course, a song that talks about stealing jumbucks and drowning in billabongs isn't appropiate, is it?

Yeah. As much as I like Waltzing Matilda, I don't think it should be made our anthem.

And I've heard that this song is alleged to be based upon a true story. Have you Andriods?

I don't know for certain one way or the other. I've only heard rumours and they could be just propaganda. There's supposed to be a billabong somewhere alleged to be the very body of water where this swaggie chose to drown himself rather than face arrest and prosecution for stealing somebody's sheep. The part about his ghost is presented as poetic exaggeration however. I've heard no stories about a haunted billabong. ;)

I'm getting rather curious now. I'll have to surf the net about it. But in any case you're right Andriods. Wonderful Aussie song. :)

Hey I haven't been able to find anything substantial about the question on the net.

I think it probably is all just hype, but I still love the song. :)

It kind off depends if you believe in ghosts or not. I haven't had any ecounters with the supernatural yet :) .

Photar is just a adapted name, and in the original it's just Epsilon.
In Pluto mangá it's mentioned that Epsilon is australian.
Do not be fooled by adaptations, the name "Photar" is no longer necessary.
After all we have the original series and Pluto mangá which are the real thing.
Forget about pointless dub names, we got fooled by years due these silly americanizations of Mighty Atom despite the fact there was an "Atom" made first, it doesn't justify the adaptation of everything.
I'm fed up of being fooled by adaptations...

I myself prefer Photar as a name and think the 1980 version is the best representation of him.
