Yeah, but Dragonball was an all-around terrible movie that strayed too far away from its source material and what made the show likeable, so maybe it's good those kids stayed away. (Yamcha was a Yankii, Chichi a cheerleader, Goku a white, 18-year-old Edward Cullen lookalike?) I only ever saw one trailer on TV and the movie was in theatres for one week.

At least Astro Boy had five weeks here, but a really long run in the cheap theatre.

I'm sort of not expecting Imagi to get up and run like they used to, since they've got their last cards on the Gatchaman movie (does anybody outside Asia actually give a crap about Gatchaman these days?) and they just took down the teaser site for T28. Unless they took it down to fix the character designs.

I want a Tetsujin 28 movie, and an Astro Boy sequel with Uran and Skunk! I'm probably only in for T28 because I want to see the Murasame Brothers and Dr. Shutain Franken again, though...

Hm, I don't know what'll happen to Imagi. It was stated they needed 30 million to continue animating. But to remember Astro is ownd by Tezuka productions so no clue if they'd do anything. As for Gotchaman, I couldn't care less on it, in fact I haven't really liked any other films by them. Tetsujom 28 looked interesting but it didn't have that spark for me

Astro vrs. the Gulf Oil Spill. A 90 minute animated tirade where Astro pulls up a soap box after kicking butt and tying that leak into an oil stopping vasectamy and just goes off on the whole human race...

But honestly, that movie was terrible (hold your fire!) when compared to the REAL Astro Boy. (phew.)

Personally, I would have liked to see the same guys who did the Metropolis movie make the next Astro Boy. No more of this CG crap - gimme some hand-drawn dedication! Come on, the animation in Metropolis was gorgeous - wouldn't Astro deserve such beauty? (that sounded weird.)

If it were up to me, I'd make a movie surrounding the Greatest Robot arc. Oh yeah, and it would be awesome... *daydreams*
