Actually I thought of the name Poindexter after hearing a Jeopardy 'clue' about the old "Felix the Cat" cartoon show (April7 may be the only one here besides me that remembers that one).

XD I don't exactly "remember" that show because I'm a young whippersnapper, but I love that cartoon! I want to write a story where Astro Boy fights Master Cylinder on the moon.

Poindexter is a techie nerd type who's arrogant and leans toward being evil minded. I think I'd agree with your two examples, but I didn't have them in mind.

I forgot about Master Cylinder so I googled it and found a Felix cartoon with Poindexter and Felix on the moon with Master Cylinder. Also the 'professor' without Rock Bottom.

Coby is a character with a LOT of potential and I believe there are enough motivated authors out there to bring him to life!

April7, I just discovered something amazing. The TV show with the most cross overs on FF.net is Dr Who.
Wouldn't have thunk that. But it makes sense.
BTW my favorite Dr. was Jon Pertwee.

But it think it will be a while, after a 50+ years of no Astro Boy I am STILL playing catch-up!!
