Yes, the cracks do shrink. Maybe the wall has an auto-repair device

Also, is it just me or Cathy's profile seems a little wrong in the above pic? Isn't her nose usually straighter?

Elefun's teeth aren't colored in in the first pic. It might not be easy to see if one doesn't know how they are supposed to look like, hence why I put the second pic.
