Yeah, his arm can retract up to his elbow and turn into a really powerful energy weapon.

It looks like he's lost his rear machine guns though.

I was a kid during the 60s, and uninterested in cartoons during the 80s, The fist time I ever heard of megaman was right here in this forum.

I think Astroboy's the reason Megaman was my favorite game when I got a Nintendo.

I noticed that MegaMan on the capcom fighting games has almost the exact same voice as Astro did on the 80s version (JP).

There are enough similarities (plus the fact that Astro is well loved in Japan) that I think it's a good bet he was based partially on Astro. He has the widow's-peak helmet, big boots, briefs, and eventually got a dog. Despite the NES Megaman boxart, the art capcom originally made for him is pretty close in style to the way Astro's drawn aswell.

Wow those games look small...and they have color! The Japanese always get the cool stuff. How many colored games did we get? 4 alltogether?

Is a topic that I made when I realized that Astro was starting to copy Megaman. One could even stretch and say that the way Boyton is acting, he's like Dr. Wily.

Yeah, and the opening sequence is a bit of a rip-off too.
