A few nights ago I dreamt I was on holiday in a foreign country. I went into a small shop to buy some food and they had a magazine rack with Tezuka books on them. They were pre-school books, you know the ones where each page is cardboard as thick as a CD and they're different shapes. They had one about Astroboy in the shape of Astro's head.

There was one there that caught my eye because it was an obscure lost character called "Tenmapop". His hair was like Astro's but he had 3 eyes like that magician character of Tezuka's. And for some reason I though he was similar to Tenma. I don't know where I got the name Tenmapop from, but I did fall asleep after watching Steel Island from in bed with a nice cold beer. :D

Why not Hou-Hou-Tenma?
Oh wait... already trademarked :P

I dreamed that I was watching the new series on TV, but for some reason, the episode invovled him going to Hogwarts from Harry Potter. Maybe i'm unconciously writing another crossover idea. (see my "Crossover ideas" thread.) I remember a shot of him flying over the train to Hogwarts, but that was about it. He talked to Hagrid too, but it was mostly diolouge from the movie. Odd, huh?
Would make an interesting fan art and fan fic.

 Hahaha! I have dreams like that all the time. I used to have dreams about Astroboy; and when Lord of the Rings was out in the cinemas I used to have dreams about being in Lord of the Rings. It sounds like it would make a good fan art/ fan fiction.

Astro is planing to get a job to make more money for The Ministry Of Science.

Hehehe....Astro as a Sotesu store clerk or a McDonald's register clerk. Hmm...nah, he'd get a job providing power to some small village someplace.

I had an Astroboy dream last night, which, in my own mind, I will now regale you with. You may skim read or feign interest. ;)

I was swimming at the beach and swam around a rocky point and came out on another beach where there was a large bookcase. It was full of old Women's Weekly and Readers Digests from a doctor's waiting room. You know how old some of those things can be. Amongst them I found some very early lost Astroboy manga in English and French. Printed on large newspaper. I was so excited by this find, for some reason I needed to bring them forward in time to the present (don't know why I was suddenly back in time).
So I decided to bury them at the beach and dig them up years later (in 2005) and find them. All I had to do was find out the name of the beach I was on. I asked around and couldn't get a straight answer. This was really bothering me, because I knew I was going to wake up soon. I was saying to people "I need the name of this beach! I can't simply pull manga out of my dream, I have to go and dig it up in real life!".
I finally got the name of the place. Then I woke up and I can't remember what it was.

(It might have been Mesk)

Sorry, I could not feign interest  As it was genuine, I couldn't feign it :P

I recognize the weird logic usual to dreams :P Were you actually aware it was a dream, or was it a part of the dream? I remember having a dream where I said to myself "I am dreaming", but in fact I was not aware of that at all

Oh no! :o So the mangas are still lost

I think I woke up very briefly then went back in the dream, and that was enough to make me realise it was a dream. But I didn't wake up enough to realise that it was going to be impossible to retrieve the mangas in real life.

I'm disappointed. I would have liked to read the French ones! :(

It was interesting, thanks for sharing. Very different from my own Astroboy dreams!
