What do you mean by color level and saturation? To my knowledge, red, green and blue is sufficent to define a color. Or do you mean your "red" needs 32 bits to appear correctly?

First, you're talking about paintshop or editing still jpegs etc. When using Videowave or a video program. HSL, hue saturation and luminance are adjusted. Or simply color level. the image you posted though it registers a large level of red in proportion with the other colors does not equal bright red, but instead is a kind of rusty brown. The Astro tv show was sabotaged by reducing the color level. so it is easy to restore the picture by raising the color level until the serpent is red.
