THE SKY RIDER'S THEME SONG
Title:"Never Die Young"
Artist: James Taylor
Album: Never Die Young
Lyrics
We were ring-around-the-rosy children, they were circles around the sun.
Never give up, never slow down, never grow old, never ever die young.
Synchronized with the rising moon, even with the evening star,
they were true love written in stone, they were never alone, they were never that far apart.
And we who couldn't bear to believe they might make it, we got to close our eyes.
Cut up our losses into doable doses, ration our tears and sighs.
Oh, you could see them on the street on a Saturday night. Everyone used to run them down.
They're a little too sweet, they're a little too tight, not enough tough for this town.
Couldn't touch them with a ten-foot pole, no, it didn't seem to rattle at all.
They were glued together body and soul, that much more with their backs up against the wall.
Oh, hold them up, hold them up, never do let them fall
prey to the dust and the rust and the ruin that names us and claims us and shames us all.
I guess it had to happen someday soon- wasn't nothing to hold them down.
They would rise from among us like a big balloon, take the sky, forsake the ground.
Oh, yes, other hearts were broken, yeah, other dreams ran dry
but our golden ones sail on, sail on to another land beneath another sky.
(Let other hearts be broken, let other dreams run dry)
but our golden ones sail on, sail on to another land beneath another sky, beneath another sky.
Hold them up, hold them up, hold them up, hold them up, hold them up, hold them up
(Hold them up, dont let them fall).
This'll be the last character theme song I'll post. I wasn't planing on even doing this one, but then I realized that out of all the ones I've posted, this one is the best, and it would drive me crazy if I never put it up here. I find it funny that I'm putting up a "group" theme song, but this is perfect for the sky rider kids. The song in itself is about being jealous of people who have more drive and spirit, and though this can some-what characterize Kenichi, Alvin, Tamao, Atom, and Denkou, it's the lyrics that really shine through. About sticking together, having fun, and sailing off to a place that's better, a place that will let them live and learn without danger and fear. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

"Make like siamese twins and split.... and then one of you die."

*claps*
Ahh, James Taylor. Is there anything he can't bring to us through gentle music and extremely good lyrics?
You know, that episode...with Denkou...yes? Is the only animated Astro I've ever seen. And I liked it, as twisted and wrong as it was. Those kids are really amazing. The comaraderie and hope they have in each other is well expressed in this song. To be honest, this is the least of subject I would expect you to post a song about, but, somehow, it really works out beautifully.
The song is so...subtley powerful. It makes me want to get up and run around and play cops and robbers.
THANK YOU for these wonderful songs and insights.
If I had the cajones, I'd be on this like mansuit on Kisaragi; I have music...and all I think about is Tezuka. Still, I'm far more suited to other works. I may look into this, though. It'd be fun, maybe. If people got to commenting. Which, they do.

Doctor Kei Kisaragi and further bullitens as events warrant.
