He disguised himself twice in the 1960s anime also, but Yellow Horse was not included in the English-version, & I forgot the other episode.
I had not made the association between Atom's appearance in the last ep of the 80s & Tobio in the '03 version. I will look into it.

In the original 60's series and the 80's series, Astro and Tobio looked the same. However, in the 80's series, Astro had to go in disguise as a human while on a mission. The human disguise, which looked very different from Tobio or Astro, was then used as Tobio's appearance in the 2003 series. As for the slight color differences, I guess the materials used for Astro's syntho-skin didn't allow for Tobio's colors to br replicated exactly.

That's not exactly true.
Even in the 60's and 80's versions, Tobio still had brown hair rather than black, and his hair was had split tips. He looked different from Astro in several ways, in not only his hair, but in his face, skin, and build.

And where did you get that stuff about his disguise? It looks nothing like '03 Tobio.

Glad Astroboy did not have that ability of Eighth Man. Astroboy is more adorable and cute the way he is.
