I dunno who he is, but that kid looks almost like Kenichi from Astro Boy. Isn't he in the same show as Kenji Mursame?

That's Shotaro Kaneda from Tetsujin 28, and he controls a giant robot that Kenji wants to blow up. The style of this show is pretty similar to Tezuka's style.

Issue Ten is now available online...

http://s333.photobucket.com/albums/m362/astroNOWcomics/Issue10/

I've got the review on the way, but now that I'm halfway through the series, I'll be taking a brief break. Issues eleven and twelve will be combined, since #11 is a flashback issue with only about seven new pages of artwork*

*Using the term loosely.

It's my third review finished in the last four weeks! I'm gonna read the new Darkwing Duck series, since that comic actually makes me feel happy!

(Seriously though, I'll be doing a review of the Darkwing series soon. It's the best comic I've read in ages, but maybe I'm saying that because I've hung around Steacy so long.)

Great teenager glue comment XD.

That whole thing with the stupid dog reactivating Astro...seriously what? I just completely skipped what they said because it made no sense to me. And why did Astro grow green, why greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen? o_o

And what is up with Astro saying "When will you realize that phyical violence is no solution to your problems!" great words of wisdom and all, but...didn't he just completely go against that and beat up that shark to a bundle of scrap? That's be like saying "be kind to your neighbour" after punching them in the face. So wrong! @_@

That page withthe Cybersharks attacking the Institute of Science looks terrible, its like something from ghost busters. When there's something strange, in your neighbourhood, who you gonna call? THAT GUY FROM JAWS! who the heck makes Cybersharks to begin with anyway? Sharks don't walk out of water. A space dinosaurs would've been more believable than that! XD

That ending scene made no sense. Astro never thought of him as his parents, do why have they become that? What elefun has done is just totally creepy, infact i lost all hope of him being the only sane character in the comic.

NEXT ISSUE!! BIGGER, BETTER and EXTRA FUN! YOU CALL THAT FUN!?

Fauna tell me, where this ended on "oh my gaaaaawd" is the next issue going to end on "oh man oh gawd! oh man oh gawd!"

And am I the only one who misses Tenma? I bet you somewhere, far away in his sanitarium, he is singing the start of this song, in a squeaky high voice. XD

I want Tenma/Boynton back, too, even if he looks like a horse. :( From here, he's pretty much out of the story, save for really quick cameos in the last issues.

I'm pretty sure the Cybersharks were made by the army, and they were testing them on discarded robots in the basement in issue two. Then I.Q. Plenty configured them to attack, but he let the dog do it and he programmed in the wrong time. Believe it or not, this issue and issue nine take place at approximately eight in the morning.

That is the plot of issues 14-15. I wish I was kidding.

I'm sure Steacy based the two after Astro's 1980's parents (despite NOW! Comics retconning that series) to give them some backstory, but they hardly know Astro and they don't really like each other. And as you find out later, they died in the Cybershark attack, but Elefun put their brains in replicant robots.

So, yeah. No love for Elefun for me, either.

It's actually 75% rehashed panels while Astro describes the story! OH MY GOD THAT IS SO FUN I CAN'T EVEN
