Why does he need a flashlight, when His eyes are searchlights?![]()
Are you kidding or seriously wondering?

It is indeed a very good question, but I did not expect it from somebody who has rent Manga Entertainment's last DVD recently!

I'm not sure if I should answer here, because I wouldn't want to spoil anything for somebody who has yet to watch it, since this set is new. B) Maybe I should tell you in private? Or maybe you might want to rent the DVD again!

In The Secret of the Mayas, Astro's chest door is suddenly empty, no matter what the lighting is... The "wire" seems to change size and color as the drawing style changes too.
I would think the chest door becoming empty is caused by back-light

The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

I thought of this too, but the components in Astro's chest are visible (especially in the third pic, and it's even easier to see when the image is full screen). Therefore I couldn't see why the door's components shouldn't be visible as well. But maybe you're right.

And to answer jeffbert's question, I'll make it a little more difficult to read in case it would be a spoiler for somebody, so highlight it with your mouse if you want to read it:
Astro tore off the sphinx' tail and plugged it into himself to beat the sphinx at its own game. The tail was a weapon.

My guess is that the components are less visible on purpose, to create the effect of strong light. Maybe if the components were drawn the same way, the light would appear less luminous. A guess... And I'm too lazy to tamper with the images right now

This one is from Astroboy goes to the West, which is one of several time-travel stories.
Lamp frames Higeoyaji for a robbery, planting H's broken spur as evidence. The three companions find them selves under the lynchin' tree,
.jpg)
only to be saved by sheriff Kutter:

Atom is freed to go find evidence or catch the real crooks, while H & O are left where they were.

The scene returns to a very nervous H & O, panning from right to left, but going just a bit too far, becuase, Atom's left shoulder appears. (I thought I had a picture of this, but I am sure you can imagine it.

This one is for you, fafner!
Astro is clean in one frame and dirty a few seconds later:

It happens again a little later, except that it happens in two adjacents frames! (even though those aren't adjacent screenshots)

Then, as he is battling against the robot car, he goes again from clean to dirty to clean again, though not in close frames.

Woohoo, another bootle problem in The Genie from Outer Space! It disappears for one frame:

A little later, professor Adams' tie disappears for one frame as well:

In The Anti-Proton Gun, there is a weird line appearing on Elefun's nose on two frames, where his mouth is the most opened. On the third repetition of this, it doesn't appear anymore.

It's crazy, my eyes are so trained that I just see those things without even trying now!
