I never realized this before, but it may be possible he was helping Astro and ultimately trying to re-adopt him out of guilt for not feeling the same way about him while Hoshie was still alive. It's a pretty interesting idea that would have implied a pretty deep retconning on Tezuka's part.

1. The 2003 series are completely different.

2. What F-Man said in regards to the manga. In fact we were talking about it earlier, and I have to agree after we made that realization.

But Tenma still otherwise viewed robots as slaves.

Depends.

Before Tobio's death, I don't think she gave much thought to Tenma's outlook of robots as slaves, or that Tenma otherwise didn't speak much of his work. The two lived during a time where it was commonplace for robots to slave away for humans and where robots would be punished if they dare so much as to talk to another human being.

However, it wouldn't surprise me if Hoshie would grow supportive of robot rights as she grew to love Atom. In fact, she did pretty much divorced Tenma because of the way he had been treating Atom.

Some of these can be answered for yourself by reading the observations/summary I wrote up.

I would agree to that she didn't give much thought but i don't think Tenma wouldn't say anything about his work to Hoshie becuase as a genius he's an accentric and she would have listened and understood him more so then reporters would and that wouldn't be a suprise.

Also would she have or had and still loved Tenma?

Well, I guess Tenma probably would have complained about his distaste for Ochanomizu, for the least...

And no, as I've said NUMEROUS times, I'm pretty sure Hoshie had hated Tenma's guts when she had left him.

Seems like it, but as I've said, they were more or less an a-typical husband and housewife...
