I have it set up so people are limited to 4 connections at once (someone's been trying to get 5 segments at once and consequently connected nearly 4000 times). If you're using Getright and it's already downloading 4 segments at once, you will not be able to get a directory listing...
Other than that, some people's browsers won't list the files and directories for some reason or another even tho they've been able to log in and are connected (they'll be staring at a while screen, and eventually time-out). I don't know why that happens, or how to fix it.

that someone must be me(u could see that?!

cos im DLing with flashget
which is more convenient
and will my DL be faster if i change the 5 segments to just 1?

Heh, no problem.
And, of course, I see all
Actually, several connections will go slightly faster than one, especially if other people are downloading from me and my upstream bandwidth is being fully used (doesn't happen very often), but any more than 3 wouldn't get a very big difference in speed.
(so if you're going to use multiple connections, only set it to 4 or less, otherwise your downloader will be rejected over and over, and I have to purge my logs of thousands of disconnection messages - it gets annoying)
What multiple connections are really for is so you count as more than one downloader; if the server you're trying to download from is using all it's bandwidth, that means it's being split more-or-less evenly among everyone who's trying to download. When you connect multiple times, you can theoretically get 2 or more people's share of the download speed.
It's not really necessary for my server tho since I'm on ADSL, and my FTP doesn't actually get that many downloaders, so unless I'm using Bit Torrent or Kazaa, there's usually plenty of bandwidth to spare (most people should be able to reach 60k/s). However, If I am using p2p file sharing programs, multiple connections wouldn't help much anyway because I'd be connected to at least 30 people and you'd need to connect at least 10 times to get a decent share of the upload speed.
So, yeah, that's why the limit is 4...

The best I can do is a Japanese version of that episode. Let me know if you want me to put it up.
