I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this but...why is astro fully clothed most of the time?

this movie is American and I noticed he is clothed more often...well at least 100% of the time in the movie trailor.

Astro: You mean they finally made me some clothes that don't burn, tear, rip, shred and just plain fall apart at Mach 6? Finally!

Though it's been said that he'll have his classic look at the beginning and during the last fight scene of the movie. (which I kinda figured they'd do anyway) This doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I recall this happening a lot in the 80s anime.
On another note, I'm impressed with the movie website and it's new timeline section. Gives me more hope that the people putting this together know what they're doing. I never saw it, but I'm pretty sure Dragonball: Evolution's website didn't care about the title's history this well

i dont recall any scene in 1980s[/QUOTE]
Astro wore clothes a lot in the 80s series.

americans are weird that way
possibly one of the worst countries, in regards to violence and what not, yet they are so worried about lil details like astro boy's pants

Great find, Kitty. John Ottman is the music composer for the Astro Boy movie. Its too bad the original theme will not be used in the movie but its not that much of a big deal for me. As long as the score really compliment and convey the right emotional tone for a scene.

Maybe they'll throw in the original theme at some point as a tribute, like they did for Lost in Space and I think one of the X-Men movies (which John Ottman also composed for). After all, the theme is so iconic it was played at Japanese train stations for Astro's birthday.

WOW! Sounds like the music is gonna be good :D
I hope they throw in the old theme somewhere. Like in the credits or something like the Spider-Man movie did

Hot Toys are the makers of these action figures. The quality is top notch. Here is some more pics from the company site:
