Ouch! :wacko: This is already chapter 29? I had started to read your story but I used to wait until you had written a few chapters to read them all at once... but now I'm so late that I think I'll pick up from the summary you wrote earlier! Looks like you increased your pace a lot more than I ever expected!

Not really,
I think two months ago, when I started my story, I've been more interested in it, as in, I've been getting more chapters done all in a day or two.
Now, I'm starting to slow down; I hardly get chances of writing it time by time, and I sometimes take longer brakes.
After all of that, I'm now on chapter 30!
And I believe I've gotten to the middle of the story now; I'm still not taking any chances of stopping either!
I just hope this story would end soon.

Please excuse my very long absence.
For once within this year I was able to actually work on the story again. I have no clue what made me do so; maybe it was the changes in character likings...
Anyway, It's still being worked on, and from here on I'll continue working on it (I'll try to take less time on playing Maple Story for it ). And it's been on my mind all summer...but I just had to get it going till August..
So, here's 30:

Chapter 30: School Glitches Part II/ Tawashi Attack (Many characters)

“Why are you here, Dr. Tenma?” Zircon asked. “Why, you ask?” said Tenma. “There’s something important I would like to tell you.” Astro walks over to Zircon. “It could be a trap, Zircon,” he said whispering into her ear. “So watch your back.” “Before I awoke you,” Tenma continues. “I scanned your memory back for any useful information. While I was searching, I was lucky to finally know who your creator is.” Zircon gasped. “Allow me to show you a particular photo.” The holographic version of Dr. Tenma switched out; showing a picture of Zircon’s creator. Then Astro gasped. “It’s Shadow!” he yells. “Shadow?” Zircon asks confused. “Why would he create me?” “I’m glad you asked,” Dr. Tenma says; appearing back through the projectors. “Shadow was a robot that I may’ve created, but he soon started disobeying my orders, and started making his very own robots from head to toe. I’m sure enough he hasn’t created any girl robots lately, but, that’s when he created you. Shadow really created you, for destruction and power!” Zircon gasped. “Destruction? Power?” she says. “Why would I be built for that? I’d never do anything like it!” Astro steps in front of Zircon. “Besides,” he says. “Is there any proof she was made by him?” “Why, yes,” says Dr. Tenma. “I happen to have found that kind of info along with Zircon’s bio. It seems now that all of Shadow’s creations have the yellow eye from his costume hidden somewhere on robots to tell he created them. There happens to be one engraved on the back of Zircon’s neck behind her hair.” Astro gasped. *There’s no way this can be true,* he thought. He stepped behind Zircon, and looked behind her hair to check her neck. He gasped again. *It is true! Unbelievable!* The mark was there as clear as day. Zircon was surprised. *…Impossible…* she thought. *Unless…*

“Tenma,” she starts. “I want to know, why are you that obsessed with what has to be rightfully yours?” Tenma froze; he didn’t know Zircon would ask such a question. “Answer me,” she says. “What is the goal you are trying to reach?” Tenma still didn’t reply. He’s still frozen from her earlier question; however, he had something on his mind that he doesn’t want to give out the answer to everyone in the room. Astro stands out from behind Zircon. “The question isn’t that hard to answer, Tenma!” he yells. “We all know you have it! Why can’t you answer her?” Tenma finally bellows. “Enough!” he yells. “I don’t have the time to answer any of your idiotic questions!” Soon, sirens were heard outside. Most of the classmates went toward the windows and noticed Inspector Tawashi and a squad of policemen resting at the side of the school. Tenma’s voice lowered a bit. “Ah, yes,” he says. “I found a way to alarm the police and Inspector Tawashi about you, Zircon.” Zircon gasped. “And don’t even think about stopping them; you know it’s all over now.” “Zircon’s on our side!” Astro yells. “We’ll see who the winner is; it’s not over yet!” Tenma chuckles for a second. “Well then,” he starts up. “I guess we’re going to have to see for ourselves; comparing to what your classmates thinks.” Astro and Zircon turned around to see. Most of the classmates were staring at Zircon carrying a scared look. She was surprised that they had all turn on her. “You’ll see what your true future holds for all of us,” says Tenma. “I can see it happening already.” He laughs evilly and the holographic image fades away as his laugh continues on.

Zircon was shocked. She barely had any chance of getting everyone to trust her again after that incident. She then looked at the classmates. “Listen, everyone,” she begins. “I’d never go on his side…he’s just saying that to frighten you.” Kennedy paused at the floor. “Nobody knows that now,” he says. “…Kennedy.” Zircon says softly. “So you’re saying that she went through those two days with a true purpose?” Astro asks. “Zircon isn’t like that! If it were true, then she would’ve told us sooner!” Zircon gasped. *Astro…* she thought. “What choice do you think we have Astro!?” Kennedy raises his voice. “At this day, some people still can’t trust robots!” Astro backed off. The word was going around the entire room. “He’s right,” Alejo speaks up. “Even to what Astro said on bringing peace to humans and robots, some still may find them not trusted.” Everyone started to agree. Zircon was surprised on what was happening. She turned to her other friends. “…Guys,” she starts. “…Do you all think so too…?” They all appear speechless; none of them had the chance to speak up. “…I don’t know what to say, Zircon,” Crono spoke. “We’re all a bit confused in this…I don’t know what’s really happening.” Kina shook her head. “We’re all trying our best on this,” she said. “Don’t take it too personally…” Zircon sighed and turned to Zoran. “Zoran…” she says softly. Zoran was mad, but though, had tears falling down her face. “…After all we’ve been through, it was all a lie?” she asked. Zircon appeared shocked. “Why did you lie to me? I should’ve known it was all a trick!” She runs behind Astro. Abercrombie was speechless as well. He just looked at the floor at another direction. Zircon had the feeling of killing herself. After what just happened, she felt unwanted. Mr. Yuko stepped out a few feet in front of Zircon. “…I’m afraid I’ll have to hold you down until Tawashi and the squad gets here,” he says when he took out a badge. Zircon gasped. “You can’t!” she replies. “I’m not faking this! It’s all true; I swear!” “Tell it to someone who cares, Zircon!” He raises his voice. All of the classmates were really frightened. None of them had a clue on what’s really happening. Ms. Miyoki helped calm everyone down.

Soon enough, Inspector Tawashi bashes through the door, along with the police squad. “Zircon!” he yells. “I’m calling you in! Come with us, and we won’t use force!” Astro stands next to Zircon. “You’re not lending a hand on her!” he yells defending her. “She’s on our side if you think so or not!” “Astro don’t do this!” Zircon yells. “You don’t have to go through with this!” “We’ll see how you’ll like it then!” Tawashi says. “Fire at will, men!” Half the squad fire at Astro. Indeed he took the shot, though it had him land near the group of classmates. “Astro!” Zircon yells, along with her friends that she was betrayed by. Her friends ran over to Astro; his body was covered with sparks. “…I’m fine,” he says. “I’m still not letting Inspector Tawashi get to Zircon!” “Forget it, Astro,” Tawashi says. “I have a better way on making Zircon come with us without harming anyone here.” Astro was getting frustrated. Tawashi turns to Zircon. “So what will it be?” he asks. “Will you come with us?” Zircon paused for a bit. Tawashi was a bit impatient. He ordered the squad to aim their weapons at the class. The classmates were surprised and started to panic! “…If you don’t follow for what I asked for,” he adds. “Then say goodbye to your precious classmates!” Zircon was shocked. Astro could now stand. *This isn’t like Tawashi at all!* he thought. *I never considered him to use threats like this!* Zircon could barely do anything; she doesn’t want to be destroyed nor harm her friends. “Time is ticking, Zircon!” Tawashi yells once more. “Tawashi, this isn’t like you at all!” Mr. Yuko says. “Can it, Yuko!” Tawashi says. “It’s not your day to stop my orders! I expect you to sit out!” Mr. Yuko backed out. “Don’t talk back to the teacher that way!” Crono yells. “Crono, we don’t want anymore trouble!” Kina yells. One policeman fired at Crono, but Astro got in the way and took the shot. “Astro!” Every one of his friends yelled; his clothes were almost completely disintegrated. “That’s enough, Inspector Tawashi!” Zircon yells, gaining back confidence. “You’re not going to harm anyone else here!” “I gave you two options, Zircon!” Tawashi yells back. “Pick your choice or else!” Zircon stared at the floor. She thought about everything said from her friends. *I…don’t have much of a choice,* she thought. *But, I don’t want to harm anyone nor me…I felt like I’ve been through so much; at a point where everyone treated me as their special friend…* She squeezed her hands into fists. *Friend or foe, I have my own purpose to follow; whether if anyone thinks so or not!*

She then looks at Tawashi. “I don’t care about what you say, Inspector Tawashi!” she yells. “I have a true purpose to follow! And that happens to be getting through everything that gets in my way!” Tawashi was shocked; the classmates were too. Astro sat up. *Zircon…* he thought. “I won’t let you go through with this!” She starts running towards the class. “You’re not getting away with denying my choices!” Tawashi yells angrily. “Men! Take care of the class!” The squad fires; then class started screaming and yelling throughout the room. Though, Zircon managed to get in front of the class and form a force field before the beams hit. When they hit, dust formed everywhere. Tawashi and the squad blocked their way from the dust, though they all noticed that no one was harmed; Zircon protected the entire class! Everyone was pretty amazed. Kennedy looked at Zircon, though she had her back turned. “…You still saved us?” he asked. Zircon turned her head to reply. “I never reject my promises…” she said. “Once they’ve been followed, I’d never deny them.” A few at a time, classmates started to look up to her. “You all may not think so now,” she says. “But to me, that’s how it is.” Astro smiled.

“Impossible!” Tawashi yells. Everyone turned to look. “That attack should’ve taken care of you!” Astro stood. “It’ll have to take more than just an attack to take care of all of us!” he says. The class agreed. Tawashi grumbled. Zircon still had the force field up. She then looked at Astro. “Astro,” she starts. “We need to get everyone out of here. But with Tawashi and his squad in the way, we’re stuck!” Astro thought for a second. “I have an idea,” he says. “But we’re going to need our friends for this.” “…Friends?” she asks. “But I thought…” “Don’t worry about it; they’ll recover from it soon.” Astro calls over the others. “It may sound drastic,” he tells them. “But I’m doing this for Zircon. Right now, she’s in a tight spot, and I’m going to need all the help we can get!”

i'm working on a story but it will be long before it is finished it will be about 2 to 4 mouths ... i'll put up a tread when i'm finished

I proofread the story a bit: I removed one of the chapters, which was "Dress Up," changed and added about half of it to the next chapter. I fixed up a few other chapters as well. So here's chapter "30":

Chapter 30: Race for the finish

The shield was still up; everyone was trying to keep calm as time progressed. The room was silent as well. The power of Zircon’s jewel was slowly draining; though she didn’t know it much, she was slowly zoning in and out from it. The students and the teachers were all bundled up in one part of the room, while Inspector Tawashi and his men stood directly across of them. However, Zircon’s shield was still up, though now, she was completely zoned out! Her mind was stuck on something unusual; as if she were in another world. It showed all of her past memories: her first life, her first dreams, and her first friends…her first creator. Shadow, the name just sticks to her insides. More things come to mind: Everyone acting solemn, feeling frightened, worried; it’s all becoming such a debatable topic! Soon, an interesting memory bubble appeared; it revealed her and Astro in their bedroom, from an earlier time.

“I’d do anything to prevent this from happening,” Astro said. “You can’t be let down; everyone still depends on us now…”

Zircon soon regained a bit of visualization; Astro was trying to get her attention for quite awhile. He quietly spoke as she slowly turned towards him.

“Zircon,” he began, “We need to save everyone from Inspector Tawashi; do you have any ideas?” Zircon gave Astro an unusual look, and then slowly looked back down at the floor. Astro was looking sort of troubled on how she was acting; he tried laying a hand onto her shoulder until Tawashi suddenly spotted him.

“Step away from her, Astro!” he yelled; his men had their weapons aimed at him. Astro noticed the trouble; he dropped his hand and then stared at them. “You’re making a big mistake about Zircon!” he yells. “It’s not right to take someone who you think is on the right side!” “Enough of this!” Tawashi yelled back. He then signaled out for the men to fire straight at Astro. Zircon heard the attack and fully regained enough visual to move in front of Astro to have her shield absorb the blow.

“Zircon?” Astro asked quietly. Zircon soon zoned out once again; though, she managed to speak as is. “I have to save them; they all must be protected.” Zircon spoke. Astro noticed her action; she looked so zoned out, it was like her entire mind was shot! Though, she managed to get the class’s attention.

“Please stay calm, everyone,” she said. “I know how to save you all…the Ministry…” *Of Science?* Astro finished in his thoughts. Zircon soon had her shield form all around herself, Astro, and the entire class! Soon, everyone lifted from the ground. Tawashi and his men stared in disbelief. Astro stared at Zircon; he realized she was still in a trance. He then looked at the class; everyone seemed a bit terrified on what’s happening. The majority of the class was all crowding around the teachers. Kina kept holding onto Crono while Zoran was figuring out what was going on with Zircon. Astro pushed himself out of the shield and flew towards the window to push it open.

“Let’s get everyone through here!” he yelled, “We need to get them to the Ministry of Science!” “The Ministry!?” Tawashi yelled “That blasted robot’s not getting anywhere near the Ministry!” “We’ll see who gets there first, Inspector Tawashi!” Astro yelled back, and then he allowed Zircon to pass through, along with the entire class.

Tawashi was really irritated with what was happening. He then called the others at different areas of the city on his walkie-talkie. “They’re headed for the Ministry,” he says. “Don’t let them get away!”

Astro was trying to lead Zircon to the Ministry as quickly as possible; the class was trying not to lose their sanity as they were soaring above the city in the air. Though, Zircon’s friends were acting a bit worried; they were all thinking about her problem the same way as Zoran. Their thoughts were then held back by something else; soon enough the police cruisers appeared and formed a circle all around Astro and Zircon. The class then lost their sanity; Mr. Yuko and Ms. Miyoki were trying their best to calm everyone down other than Zoran and Astro’s friends.

“Freeze!” One of the vehicles shouted through its megaphone system. Another finished with saying, “We’ve got you surrounded! Set the class down, and we’ll let things go by smoothly!” This is what caught Zircon’s attention; she finally zoned back into the present! She was now able to recognize what was going on; she appears in the middle of the city, still having her shield up, in which she had noticed that an entire class was surrounded by it, even the police encircled them!

“What’s going on?” Zircon asked, being confused. Astro noticed Zircon’s action and turned around. “I can’t seem to explain it at this time,” he said. “Though, we need to get to the Ministry of Science!” Zircon quickly nodded while still acting confused; her mind was still in a bit of a blur. The police cruisers noticed the action, and then aimed their built-in miniature laser cannons at Astro.

“Don’t even think about doing anything funny!” one said, “Just follow our orders!” Astro just stayed there feeling hesitated. Zircon thought for a minute then looked at the class. “This may get a little bumpy,” she said. “So, hang on everyone!”

Zircon took the minute to concentrate; the time all went to her shield. *Outburst!* she shouted inside her mind. Beams then shot out from the shield, and they all directly hit the police cruisers! Sparks flew from their crafts; the men noticed that their lasers and other weaponry were entirely shut down.

“I can’t ignite the laser cannons!” one complained. “The emergency weapons can’t activate either! She shut the systems down!” After the attack, Zircon tried keeping in focus; her attack kept making her sight move in and out of focus. Shaking her head helped a bit, even though it didn’t work all much. Crono, Kina, and Zoran moved out from the crowd and towards Zircon.

“Zircon!” Zoran yelled being terrified. “Are you okay? Zircon!” “I’m fine,” Zircon responded, not looking back. “It’s nothing, really.” The three acted a bit concerned, though kept an eye on her till then. Astro stared at the cruisers then at Zircon acting troubled.

“You weren’t planning to hurt them, were you?” he asked. Zircon smirked for a second and then shook her head. “I’d never do such a thing,” she replied. “I only disabled their weapon mechanisms for awhile; no damage was required. So, don’t worry about it.” Astro just smiled, and then gotten the class’s attention.

“Don’t worry, everyone,” he said. “The Ministry of Science is just a few blocks away.” Zircon still had a bit of the blurriness from the attack and holding the shield up; she hoped that her time won’t run out…
