Check out the blue eyes on Tenma!

I LIKE!

But here's the thing -- and it seems to be this 2003 visualization of him that brings the thought to mind . . . Tenma looks considerably like....(sorry!)

Howard Stern

 I know, I know -- but REALLY -- take a look -- that long, gaunt face, curly hair and long pointy nose -- it's the "King of all Media!"

Mind you -- Stern is not someone I think about very often, but that cover art from volume 3 just makes me want to shout "Baa Baa BOOEY!"

In "Pluto" Tenma is the reincarnation of Abe Lincoln. Guess he's got one of those faces...

BTW -- You're right T.B.H. -- Chapters 8-11 is heartbreaking stuff!! :( :astro:

This guy's comic/manga pages looks incredibly awesome and epic. I wonder how he plans them out, I want some of that skill he has! I'm good but his epicness is over the top.

Actually, Akira Himekawa is a team of two women. :3 And yes, their skill in manga is fantastic. Probably why they keep doing all the Zelda adaptations.

@ AprilSeven - Howard Stern? Really?

.....Huh...I kinda see it...

(He scared me a little in Pluto...*shivers*)

Um, do you have any other way to see them besides downloading? Because, #1, I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to open any kind of ZIP file, or download stuff, without permission, and, #2, I fear that something of that immense size, if downloaded, would kill this bucket of a computer, anyway. (And I'm just talking about one!)

Well, the link to volume one is no longer active on this thread, as I have scanned the English volume and replaced the file. (Is now available on my blog.)

As of right now, I have no means as to make them viewable online, as I do not know of any website that I could use to post them that would not make me susceptible to le ban-hammar of death. (And photobucket is just plain tedious)

If it's about permission, I guarantee that the files are virus-free. But, my mom was the same way with the whole "oh noes if it's from the internet it must be evil oh noes" thing. If you know of a site that I can post these up to be viewable by everyone (and be somewhat descreet at the same time, herherher...), I'd certainly consider posting them there.

Awesome, u have any inside info on how they produce their stuff and layouts. I recently drew some pages in which I took some layout inspiration from their astro boy manga and I got some positive incite and comments.

I wish I knew more about them. >.< They don't do a lot of 'artist's-notes' section in their manga (unlike the mangaka of Furuba...man, she doesn't know how to shut-up xD ), and the Astro Boy series is actually one of the few I've read by them that actually had any notes by them in it...

They're kinda like ninjas. o_o Artistically skilled ninjas...
