I had a look at doing that one and I almost thought it wasn't possible. The background stops moving eventually but the scene fades to black soon after. There must have been space for a single loop.

I've made this one:

The filesize is too big for an avatar, but it's okay as a sig if anyone wants it.

Hahahahaha!!!

I had done it last month, just small enough to fit for an avatar! :D Yours looks better because I really had to play with it to make it fit the 25Kb.

Indeed. I had to remove one frame to fit the 25Kb, which is why Astro's jets are fixed at one point.

If you look closely, you can see that the background's color changes a little.

I started to do 2003 avatars, but it proved to be very difficult to stay under the 25 Kb limit... There will be more images in the signature thread I'm just about to create! :)

Here is the first one, the one on the right is the original, but I thought somebody might prefer the reversed version:

I find it much more difficult to create avatars from the 2003 series. It doesn't rely as much on loops, and the elaborate backgrounds and constant changes of viewpoints make it very hard to find something that will be interesting to watch.

The only thing that loops well is when the characters are talking! :p

The 60s series loops brilliantly, especially where they throw in a bunch of brief visual gags. The only downsize is there's a lot of noise which makes the file sizes big.
