If you look closely, you can see that the background's color changes a little.

I started to do 2003 avatars, but it proved to be very difficult to stay under the 25 Kb limit... There will be more images in the signature thread I'm just about to create! 
Here is the first one, the one on the right is the original, but I thought somebody might prefer the reversed version:

I find it much more difficult to create avatars from the 2003 series. It doesn't rely as much on loops, and the elaborate backgrounds and constant changes of viewpoints make it very hard to find something that will be interesting to watch.
The only thing that loops well is when the characters are talking!
