She was created by Walpur Guiss, who also created Atlas. She was Guiss' servant. Atlas loved her and took her with him after rebuilding himself. So I guess we can say that they are as married as robots can be! Too bad for you...

But I personally wouldn't want to be the 1980 Atlas' girlfriend... He was such a dictator! :angry:

Astrofan, great job with the pics. The 80s show is my favourite for the artwork. I LOVED the picture of Astroboy flying upside down when he was going up against Atlas.



If you keep on doing these screenshots you should think about doing some from the two part Robot tournament battle episode. Often when I talk to Astro fans this is the episode they fondly remember and it's a shame there aren't too many pictures of it floating around at the moment.

Okay, I will! With Atlas Forever, the Greatest Robot in the World are my favorite episodes! The were memorable indeed.

I'll make sure to post at least a pic of each "competitor", but besides this, are there any specific screenshots you'd want me to take?

Since sarahh knows only the 2003 series, I thought it would be interesting to mention that "The Greatest Robot in the World" episodes are the 80 version of the Pluto/Acheron episodes!

I do remember the shots of Bruton holding Sarah. I'm used to calling Bruton Commonturk though.

I hope I'm remember all this right!

When Commonturk and the wrestler? robot go out into the sea. I think the sun was setting there so with the sunset, the sea and the battle some good pictures should turn up around that part of the show.

A nice shot of Astro struggling on wether to press the button on Commonturk's body so he can go back and heal himself.

Oh, shots of the weather where the robot defends his orphanage. That scene in particular has stayed with me since the 80s. Man, I felt sorry for him. The one thing about Astroboy was it was a show that made you think not in terms of black and white but in shades of grey.


Really, I'd leave anything up to you. I enjoyed the selection of screenshots you already took from the show.
