Since Astro Boy often acts as a sort of ambassador or diplomat, I’ve been thinking maybe we should form a delegation -- a team of “good guy” characters from comics, cartoons or any other kind of fiction -- who could act as diplomats to resolve disputes. But nobody will listen to them unless they like them, so they should be characters having the “child-like innocence” that makes them so lovable. So far, I’ve thought of three candidates: Astro Boy, “E.T.” and Casper. I’m sure we could come up with several more.

Let’s think up a name for the delegation, and then have nominations and elections for its members. Not that anyone’s really going to make a comic or cartoon with all of them in it, but we could make up our own fanfics about the “Delegation” anyway.

ET's the representative for aliens.
Casper's the representative for the paranormal.

No, that's no good. Right away all the other nations would scream "Why should Japan have TWO representatives?" And within a week there'd be a worldwide nuclear war.
