When I saw short-round little Uran jump out of her box, and tap dance (or is it tap-dance) on the table, I immediately thought of Shirley Temple in her youngest years. Both wear dresses that are too small and reveal fat-little legs, both sing and dance, both are very cute, etc...

That is the Manga/60s B&W version. I should have made clear that I was referring to the 80s color (colour) version.

does he get blown up or does he live or what

If it is the last episode, Atom defeats the bad guy, saves the day, etc.
