I dont get Kids WB so I won't be able to watch the dubbed series when it premiers so I decided to go for fansubs. I found one website that I think i've mentioned beofre, but a thread about big mistakes in pirated subs lead me to think that this site might not have well made subttles. Here's the link.
http://www.discountanimedvd.com/
Has anyone bought the seires here? Is the subtitling accurate? I don't want to spend 10 bucks on a badly translated cartoon.

I have bought the first 4 episodes, and yes, the translation is so poor as to be comical at times. See this discussion Funny subtitles in new series. It shows the same captured frame as found in both the fan sub and the pirated version. Only the fan sub version actually makes any sense. However, if you want to laugh and do not mind the risk of prosecution the p-version is for you.

Thanks. That's the thread that made me think about it. Do you know anywhere I could find a good fansub?

anapan is the only source I have. check the last few pages of this thread for an up to date discussion.
:)

Here is a working link to anapan's ftp site FTP://ast:ast@142.179.63.219:6872 I myself tried it, but somehow http got inserted into it. You will need to edit it to 'FTP://ast:ast@142.179.63.219:6872'. Currently, there are 5 subtitled eps. :wahah:

What do you use to download? I have Verizon and Internet Explorer and none of them seem to download. I've tried sevreal times. Verizion will do it for a while, but then will just stop and i'm not even sure what Explorer is doing. How long does the download normally take?

I use Opera 7.20. Once entering the correct directory, I right-click the file & select quick download.

However, I must

1. close all othe applications and any process that might access the internet.
2. Also must close all pages other than anapan's ftp and the transfers page. If I do not, I will almost certainly see the transfer rate drop down to next to nothing, indicating 40 days to go.

It usually starts at 38 KB/sec, and should remain at about that rate. It transfers the entire 240-300MB file in around 1.5 - 2.0hours. Needless to say, I have a broadband connection. B)

I always suggest using a download manager (something that detects a clicked link in IE and takes over for the usual download dialog). I have to reset sometimes, and a download manager will continue the download where it got cut off if it stops downloading for any reason.

What do you use to download?

I use Getright & really works well as i have dial-up <_< & need to spread my downloads out over several days   It is really good for resuming downloads (if the server allows them) & you cal also browse FTP's with the program too(haven't tried that one yet). And you can accellerate downloads if you have mirror sites with the file available. :D :P ;) I recommend it!!! BTW, you can run it in the background & not interfere with browsing too.

Nevertheless, any browsing you do will interfere with your download. Every time you click a link, you make your download take that much longer.
Hey I just now noticed the other emoticons hidden under Show All

thanks a bunch, everyone. I'll try your suggestions when I have time. Unfourtunatly, I live with my family which includes one brother, two sisters, and a two parents. All of whic like to have some computer time. :( So, it's difficult to find time. So, I can't browse the internet while downloading something, but, how about playing a game that's not online?
