If you were going to write an Astroboy crossover, what would you cross it over with? I would use...
MEGA-MAN: This is a given. Nothing in the world seems more similair and fit in the Astro world than Mega Man.
BIG GUY AND RUSTY: This is also a given. It takes place in the future, robots have minds of their own, and one of the main characters is even a boy robot. It works pefectly!
CUBIX: ROBOTS FOR EVERYONE: I don't actually watch this. It's a cute cartoon, but i'm not a fan. However, watching the ads, I thought Astro would work in this area too. I mean, he'd feel right at home. I think they're might actually be more robots than humans in this world.
So what's a good crossover for you?

I would like to see astro in somthing a bit different from his normal setting...maybe like astroboy meets the powerpuff girls :wahah: :wahah: that would be funny!! or even something in the style of Roger Rabbit.. cartoons in a human world! even the classics like Voltron or Eagle riders. Maybe a colab of all the classic anime &manga charecters...that would be an interesting. but then I am not too farmiliar with the new anime series at the moment so I may be just spouting rubbish

I was actually thinking that there would be a Christmas eve so foggy that not even Rudolph's red nose would be enough. Yes, my idea was
Astroboy saves Christmas.
I just was not sure whether it would have been cuter to have him in his puppy costume with antlers added taking the lead position among the reindeer, or sitting upon Rudolph's back, or carrying the whole sliegh. Of course his eyes would be on high-beams.
I see an obvious crossover with Futurama. In my Amazon.com reviews of several of the 80s tapes, I noted similarities. In The Robots nobody wanted there were some oddball robots condemned to destruction, because they did not fit anywhere. Futurama's Bendin' in the wind had Bender as a rock star talking with a pile of broken robots who were fans. Unfortunately for them, they were immediately turned into paper weights.
Anyway, Bender would be a perfect foil for Atom. They are complete opposites, bender totally corrupt, Atom completely pure.

It would also be interesting to see Atom in other roles. Just think of him as Bart Simpson! When I see him tunneling into the ground, somehow the image of of dirty little Dennis the Menace being dragged to the bathtub comes to mind. :wahah:

I had that thought too. Him pulling Santa's sleigh. That would be cute.

He'd make a kick-ass angel in Neon Geneses Evangelion.
I could not bear to have him a a bad guy. Actually manga 20 has him as just that. In a continuation from 19, 20 has Tenma repair him (19), but he is not what either Temna or Ochanomizu would expect. He has taken an anti-human attitude.
Yeah, well. With all the crap he's put up with, I figured it was a matter of time.
