alright I have been to the Tezuka website probably many times and because there is so much to do at the website i would just be playing dacing atom all day and This caught my eye

The Blue Knight has several adventures in the new series, the most recent of which is # 38. In this ep, a family of robots is broken up as mean ol' humans capture mama and papa, and the daughter, who just happens to adore the B K, is rescued by him.

The Bablefish translation of the synopsis makes little sense:

I've seen the blue night episode, but shinsen-gumi seems like a full length feature?

It sound like the Blue Knight is similar to Atlas. Would that assumption be correct?

In that they both want freedom for robots, yes. However, the answer depends upon the series. In the current series, Atlas is a teenage juvenile delinquent, who wants to conquer the humans, while the B K is more of a leader of a rebellion. I remember in the manga he wanted to create a nation for and of robots.
