I kinda liked the one that took place after the 60s cartoon when Astro had held onto a device to send into the sun. Apparantly, they built an Astro 2 and made him even MORE human. Which unfortunatly meant he was constianly fooling around with girls, would only go on missions if they paid him, and thought the whole "champion of justice" thing was "old fashioned." I read this and thought back to how Kids WB is handling Astros character and think "It could be worse."

I have had #22 for about a week, but had not yet finished Next World II. But afeter reading you posting, I just read "Astro II", and found it really funny.

The Time Machine (page 152): So, this is where Back to the Future got the idea of inspiring Chuck Berry to compose Johnny B. Goode! :wahah: And at least one other thing also (154)! This volume is very amusing!

Yes I did find some funny things in that adventure that spanned volumes 6 through 7 and ended in 8. Notwithstanding, there were also some serious issues covered. Tezuka shows his abilty to deal with both without having one ruin the other. If the humor had been too emphasized, the Angel of Vietnam serious issues would have seemed in bad taste. Likewise, if the serious issuse, such as the destruction of the village & it inhabitants had been too detailed, the humor would likewise have been in very poor taste.
