Does anybody get strange looks when you talk about Astro Boy? I do sometimes but, maybe as the new series shows more, people will get to know what the cartoon is about. Because, in the States, I don't remember the 80's series ever being on television. I actually had a girl in her late teens early twenties recognize Astro Boy from the shirt I was wearing in Toronto a couple of years back.

I get strange looks from my mom and sister. Mainly because they're only experience with Astro was the 60s cartoon which they don't really like and no offense to those that do, but I don't really blame them.

I have a few episodes of the 60's version on tape. And yes they were a little corny. I like the 80's version alot. I'm still undecided on the new version though.

I guess I'm too much an introvert to talk about such things, except with people whom I know share an interest in it.

Hmmm these days there are a LOT of Atom T-shirts being sold in Sydney and i see heaps of people wearing them..... it actually seems quite a cool thing. And when SUAnime held the Astroboy Birthday Party last year HEAPS of people came.

So i guess it depends on the region you live in....
