As the Australian dollar hit 80 cents US today, I thought it was time to do a bit of shopping on Amazon. I came across some interesting Astroboy book titles with release dates set for September 1st, 2004.

Astro Boy: The Adventures of Astro ($4.99, 64 pages paperback)
Astro Boy Color & Sticker Book ($4.99, 32 pages paperback)
Astro Boy: I Am Astro ($3.99, 32 pages paperback)

The next three are obviously based on the 2003 series:

Astro Boy: Power Up! ($3.50, 24 pages paperback)
Astro Boy: Rocket Ball ($3.50, 24 pages paperback)
Astro Boy: Invisible Robot ($3.99, 32 pages paperback)

And, of course, the one that was due out in January:

Astro Boy Ultimate Fan Guide ($17.49, 152 pages hardcover)

:wahah: rubs hands! :wahah:

This is an old thread, but I just looked up the Astro Boy Ultimate Fan Guide book and it's out of print. Did anyone actually get a copy of this?

Amazon or was it TRSI sent a cancellation notice. I think it was never available. ;)

Amazon lists it as out of print.

However, Minotaur.com lists it: ASTROBOY 40TH ANNIVERSARY ULTIMATE FAN GUIDE: $60 pre-order There is even an Astroboy category on the button at the left side of the page.

campusI lists it as not yet in print, but for much less $. It quotes prices for 2 sources:

ASTROBOY 40TH ANNIVERSARY ULTIMATE FAN GUIDE

BTW, I have been working on my website, & expect to have something up by 4/7. At worst, I will upload some stuff to my public folder & privide a link on this forum. My project will mainly compare the way the manga stories have been retold in the three animation series, but I expect to go far beyond that. However, I do not expect to use as many images there as I do here.

My coverage of the manga is by volume. I will list the stories alphabetically, first by manga, then by 1960s titles, both J & E, & likewise for the other incarnations. I expect to have a few pages about how Tezuka's robots compare with Asimov's, and others.

That's sort of a relief because I thought I'd missed out. But I hope they still release it.

I look forward to your web site. :)
