I've managed to warp my little sister into Astroboy. Mostly through the Japanese version of the new series but she seems to like the manga too. She thinks Astro is the cutest thing ever! Anyway, when my figure came in, the only person who seemed more happy than me about it was her. Now she keep hugging it, stroking it, and even kissing it. I think she's enjoying the toy more than I am. Dear god, what have I created?

Dear god, what have I created?

 Yeah, 'The demons I called...' :D
A few weeks ago I copied a lot of 80's Astroboy VHS-tapes for my sister's children.
Now they're addicted too and still want more. Got my hands full this time  :D .
I still don't know how to tell them there are only 51 eps I can record  .

Years ago I overheard a couple of friends of mine talking about Astroboy and wishing they could watch it again. I said I had some epsides on tape and one of them was so excited. She asked how many episodes and I said "um, I don't know, 47 or 48". Her jaw dropped! She then watched all of them and gave me an Astroboy t-shirt she made (which I happen to be wearing right now).

In my youth my sister made a drawing of Astro which I still have now. I remember she
gave me this drawing as a christmas present in the best time of my Astro-addiction.
 I was sooo thrilled  .

Actually, this drawing is in color, but I couldn't get it through the scanner since it is pasted
on cardboard, so I made a photocopy of it and scanned that one.

This is my sister's version of Astro:

My sis is approx. 5 years older than me. She painted it around 1986 sooo she was....
*calculate calculate* ...17 years old. However, she always had a fine hand in drawing :) .

an astro drawing-thread would be nice
  ;)

In my youth I was so occupied with astro I dedicated a little booklet to him in which I
tried to draw him in different poses ;) . Alas, this booklet isn't around anymore and I completely got out of ability of drawing him :( .

In that case: A hoorray for scanners and image-websites :wahah: !
