Both the 80s and 2003 series! That's some serious w00tage, I say verily unto thee.
According to the threads (in case anyone can't be bothered reading them), Madman will release the 80s series and Columbia will release the 2003 series. It's looking like English dub only at this point.

Still, there's something pretty satisfying about a row of 17 video tapes with spines making up two big Astroboy pictures. B)

This isn't my field of expertise, but at a rough guess I would say definately.

I've seen so much kids' anime merchandise around for the shows broadcast in Australia. Even newsagents carry Yu-Gi-Oh card packs. Sure it's a little more geared to merchandise than Astro, but He-Man is certainly on a par.

Lets just hope the video quality isn't as bad as some other Madman releases I've seen, if that's the case you might as well keep your VHS copies.

It can't be worse than the Hong Kong bootlegs surely, and they have better picture quality than the VHS version.

I have a Madman DVD sitting in front of my face right now and it's video quality IS worse than the "Hong Kong bootlegs", don't believe me? I don't care.

ho!...
I bought a pack of 3 video tape yesterday... 5 episodes in each tape ; the volume 1, 2 and 3 of a series of 9 tapes....
It costs me 50 CND $. Very very expensive!!! It should be no more than 30$ 'cause it's in VHS format.
But I really wanted to get some of the '80 episodes and they are nowhere... impossible to find....

The store had only two packs of the 3 first volumes. The other volumes are impossible to find!!!
I'm happy that it'll be release in DVD format but how much times will I have to wait until it will be sold in Quebec, Canada...? Maybe never... ??

Can't you order over the Internet and get it imported? I bought volume 1 of the exact same series and got it sent to Australia from the USA.
Including shipping, it cost AUD$50 which is about the same as Canadian dollars. For one tape.
