Seems like you might need some codecs.

I've had the same problem about a month ago.
Anapan told me you need to install a so-called DIVX codec as well as an Xvid codec to watch those eps.

You can download the DIVX codec from this site:
www.divx.com

Here's the site for downlaoding the Xvid codec:
www.xvid.org/

With those you should be able to watch them without any further problems.

Thank's for the links for the codec!!! I appreciate... :) :)
Hope it'll work!

 For sure.
If it works for me in spite of being such a PC- lowbrow, the more it'll work for you.

I found some source code file... I don't really know what to do with that...

But I installed the DivX Codec and now I see the image!!! :) :)

One word: fddshow this DS Filter will take care of Xvid all DivX codecs, and a few others.

ok, GIR, I love you, I really do.. (I have to if I put up with you for your superior knowledge in all things Video) but dude.. mate.. SPEAK NOOBGLISH MAN! I went to that site you posted and not only did it not make any sense but not even the download page was followable.

Now I am the FIRST do admit that I am VERY SLOW when it comes to understanding new things (pfftt... not just new things to be more honest) but I am pretty sure if I cant understand a site then someone who never heard of DivX until they downloaded an astroboy ep that needed it will not have a chance in hell.

People, if you do not understand the following..

ffdshow is a DirectShow decoding filter for decompressing DIVX movies. It uses libavcodec from ffmpeg project for video decompression, postprocessing code from mplayer to enhance visual quality of low bitrate movies, and is based on original DirectShow filter from XviD, which is GPL'ed educational implementation of MPEG4 encoder.

Features

- fast video decompression using optimized MMX, SSE and 3DNow! code
- support for different codecs: XviD and all DIVX versions
- image postprocessing for higher playback quality
- automatic quality control: automatically reduces postprocessing level when CPU load is high
- hue, saturation and luminance correction
- experimental sharpening filter
- noising (of course if you want it)
- presets
- completely free software: ffdshow is distributed under GPL

Then when it comes to installing Codec just stick to these..
Downloading the DivX standard codec Cos its FREE
Downloading an 'installable' Xvid Codec. cos compiling sourse code is what we have geeks and nerds for.

For those a little more daring, and don't mind the legal issues, you can download DivX Pro off your favorite Peer 2 Peer client. K++, Overnet, etc..

==Astroboy-online cannot be held responsible for what you choose to do on your own computer with supplied information, etc etc, blah blah..==

There, I think that should cover the admins butt. :)

y'know this coulda been even more simple if you simply just find a divx player program instead of having to look for codecs.

not really, as divx players all need the same codecs you are better off installing the codecs for the player you already have. They are also a lot smaller downloads and you dont have extra software on your computer you do not need.
