Hey all, I think most of you know about my Astro Boy fan fic, "Eternal Bond". Well, DrFrag was acting as my Beta Reader, but since he's busy with real life, I don't want to be a pest and bug him all the time, so would anyone here be interested to act as my Beta Reader?

I have rather formal grammar; however, I would be rather hard-pressed to produce any lengthly reports to you, because I type w/ only one finger. I also might be too strict w/ grammar, and lastly, I cannot commit to any schedule. I do not know how many pages or words you need me to examine. However, I am offering my services, since I finished my BA in May. I need references now that my Job search has begun, I do not know how you would handle this, but would be appreciative of any recognition for work done.

As tezuka once said "If you drowned in worries about grameric style your story begins to lose its boyancy."

Just tell the story and let your words speak for themselves.

I'm actually not that worried about the grammar then I am about simple spelling errors and typos. I don't want to look like a complete moron when the chapters go up, hense the the beta reader. Thanks again for the words of encouragement though. :)

Speling errors can fool even the best spell-checking software, the best way to catch them is to reread your work. Things like using 'to' where you mean 'two' or 'too' can really add up.

Things like that are a real pest. You can't imagine how many times I click "Preview Post" because each time I find AGAIN such a typo  Even after more than 5 re-reads I can find a HUGE typo on the first line :D
Anyway I can do some beta reading also to find such typos, but concerning grammar I may not be very useful. I know that I sometimes use strange constructions as you may have already seen ;) However I can't do it in a regular way because I sometimes get very busy for a short time.

Trust me, I know those things can be a pain in the butt. I'll think I'll have everthing corrected and then when I'm rereading a chapter I already put up, I spot another typo.

It's all right if neither one of you can do it regularly, I understand that real life is more important. I should know, I go to college and once I graduate, I should hopefully have a job. Would it be okay if I sent what I had to both of you, then I can get two different povs on that particular. And, if it's not too much to ask, maybe I could send in some of the old chapters for another look, to who's ever interested and whoever has the time that is.

I am all for it. I suppose you will need my email address, as putting things in private messages via this forum might be awkward. However, we might try that first. I have a few things going right now, thrying to read Asimov's robot stories in preparation for creating an Astroboy website, but I can fit you into my schedule.

lol. Thanks, I feel so honored. You are right about my needing your E-mail address, I usually send my stuff as an attachment so you can download and print, but if you want it from a private message, thta's fine with me.

Ready here too ;) It is possible I take a few days to read all if I am busy, but I will notify you if it can be long.
