Hi. New to Astroboy and to this board.

Ive been watching the cartoon on BBC2 and i like alot, like the way the people all dress like theyre from the 30s or the 50s even though its the future, and the deceptive depth of the story lines.

Astroboy first started in the 50s as a comic strip right? And then it was on TV till the late sixties...? and there was a remake in 2003... which is what i watch on kids TV?

Why is it that on all the websites the characters have different names, like Boyton to Tenma, Elefun to O' Shea? Am i missing something?

Not at all. There were four different periods of Atom starting of course with the 50's Manga which became the 1960's black and white NHK anime, the 1980 color re-makes and the 2003 50th anniversary series. The character names changed depending on where they were shown.

Anyone know how you can find out if you have BBC or not? I know darn well I have that channel, I just don't know the channel number.

Try tv guide.com or some other web-based listing, perhaps even bbc might be able to tell you if you identify your area & service provider. I use Washinton post's online listings, but do not know if it has your area covered. :o
