Being the latest manga by Naoki Urasawa (Monster, 20th Century Boys) Pluto's story is actually based on a very old source, Osamu Tezuka's "Tetsuwan Atomu" (a.k.a. Astro Boy). Using the characters from the ever-popular "Chijou saidai no ROBOTTO" (engl. The Strongest/Biggest Robot on Earth) story arc published in the 13th volume of the original manga series Urasawa has created a suspenseful SF-thriller which centers around the Europol robot officer "Gesicht" and his attempt to catch a sadistic and
powerful killer in the futuristic Germany who victimizes both robots and humans for no apparent reason. The case becomes explosive when the first evidences indicate a robot's doings -- something that hasn't happened in 8 years...

..All I have to say about this manga is.. "wow." Urasawa really makes this story modern and a great..I've read chapters 1 to 5 and skipped a few to read chapter 8 to see what Atom looked like. I really like this. I can't wait until a full volume is released. (Which should be released by the end of August..I hope.) In the manga you actually feel sorry for the robots that destroyed. When Mont Blanc died, everyone in the manga was sad..It goes indepth into the robots that Pluto seeks to destroy.

MangaScreener is translating this, if you want to know. Their website doesn't have it under projects, I think its just in a magazine in Japan and it was just released in book form.

..There is this other page where Atom uses Gesicht's memory chip and he starts to cry, because the memories are sad..Its quite touching.
This is a good manga, I suggest you get what has been released..don't ask where to get it..just search around. I used Mirc though.

Oh, and could people reply..It took me forever to write this topic..It would be a waste if no one replied..heh.

Oops..I uploaded two..I'll fix that.
..and Atom is a robot..He is special though.

The German detective dude is a robot aswell..I guess Pluto will go after him also..just like in the original story.
