i'm in the process of restoring the color to Dragon Lake. This episode is so important.
The way the color was removed in the sabotage of this animation is horrible. If these new 2003 english eps are to be streamed, then each ep will have to have the Red element corrected, the contrast adjusted, and the color level increased. Maybe each frame will need to be sharpened and edge enhanced. We will experiment with dragon lake and see. :P
Ok... Here is the Video Remix of Dragon Lake.... :wahah:
Let's set this up.... The communication concerns Dragon Lake, the traditional enemy is portrayed as a "GREAT RED SERPENT,"and the beast is cast into a lake burning with fire...
But when the red serpent appears in this episode, the colors have been removed. I have restored them as best I could. The Red serpent is now Red. This comm speaks for itself. This is the 12th realm of space for the King Ranger. Rev12 Astroboy style.
Enjoy....
And feel free to critique or complain.

To download right clik here and select save target as....
and in case you are color blind this is the color RED...

Here is the remix.... Photon receptor (ie. your eyes) blasting, Cyberpaint enhanced. Sound level doubled. CYBERDELIC version.... Remember the Beast meets his waterloo at the lake of fire. Electronic fire in this case, but that will do....

Dragon Lake 'Cyberdelic photon receptor blasting version" 700kbps real video 10

To download right clik here and select save target as....
Watch both mixes and let me know which you prefer.... :wahah:

This is the broadcast quality of Dragon Lake. Notice Astro's boots? They're supposed to be red. All the red has benn removed from this. And the color level reduced in order to blunt the impact in juxtaposition to every other anime on CN.

Here is the same scene after computer adjustment.... See?

This is a lot closer to the saturation levels used on CN. But i'm glad for the feedback I could tone it down.... give a choice.

I don't think so.... I'm pretty close to CN now. Every other program is saturated in full color except astro. Look at the paled out jpg.

The paled out jpg is not the best example I've seen I'll give you that, but you can certainly tell that the boots are red, and its not as bad as that saturated pic you posted, this pic is from an ep I encoded, and is what Astro's color should be like, if you disagree with me you are wrong :) :P

GIR is right, cybotron. The boots are red even without editing it in the computer.

The adjusted pic's saturation seemeth a bit too high to me.
