The robot is named Pluto, but the English dubs him Bruton. The Episode is The Greatest Robot on Earth, & the 80s anime it follows the plot first seen in manga fairly closely. This story appears in all three animated series.

If it's the guy I'm thinking of in Canada he's called Commonturk.

In the French version it seems it is something like "Communturk", that sounds like the French sentence "comme un Turc", that means "like a Turkish". Did you said weird?

Yes, those are two episodes, namely '
The Greatest Robot In The World Pt.1+2'(80's title.) Episode 1 's got a cliffhanger-ending which keeps you tickling till the story's continuation

.
I'm pretty sure that they're going to be included in the Madman DVDs.
