First, episode 49 is not "Journey to Tomorrow". According to the translation 48 is, and 49 is "Astro Revived".

<SPOILER WARNING>
About Denkou, according to what I unerstood, he was only part of a flashback. Astro's friends wanted to help Astro remember his past, and therefore used the "flying device" they used with Denkou and Astro in one of the first episodes. While saying that, the images of that episode are displayed, and we can see Denkou.
Otherwise, Denkou is not at all in episode 49.
</SPOILER WARNING>

I hope my 10 words of Japanese vocabulary were sufficient to understand the story :P

I can't remember what site I got them from, but I think there're Hong Kong bootlegs with Chinese and Engurish subs. I could try to find the link for you, but it may take some time. The subs aren't that bad and the picture and sound quality are perfect, and I just started watching them again. Tonight I'm gonna watch the uncut 2 part Atlas eps. :lol:

:lol: Actually I still have the link saved:

Buy all three and you'll have the whole series. Keep in mind they may be bootlegs. When I bought them I didn't know, but now I think they are. Just a matter of consience. They could be just made by Hong Kong fans, but then again they could be made by Chinese gansters and some of the things they do, Astro would not approve of.

I can't buy bootlegs... against my conscience :cry: Either it is legal and I pay, either it is illegal and I never pay because it might be gangsters as you said.
It is a shame however that fans or gangsters do better quality than original sources, I mean uncut scenes and the possibility to have the English version. They are worsening illegal copies effect :angry:

If there is no legitimate source, then upon whose rights do the bootlegs infringe? I have both the legitimate tapes and the first set of BL for the 80s. Nobody can accuse me of spending money on Bls that I did not already spend on the legitimate products. & if, in the case of the 2003 series, there is no legitimate source for English speakers, why should anybody complain? I would rather have the quality of the legitimate stuff, but at this time, there is no such thing in the USA. But I must have both to have the full content as well as the clear conscience. Stupid editors, cut the best scenes and ruined the dialogue!

Damned ****oles, made the DVDs have regions so that stuff that is made for Europe will not play on U.S. machines! PCs can supposedly bypass the region restrictions by use of software, but even that is a hassle. It is not as though the region encoding on DVDs has much hindered bootleggers or pirates from copying the material onto region-free DVDs.

It's exactly what I am complaining about: the people responsible for publishing do a very bad work and because of that encourage people to buy unoffical releases. People are accused of illegal downloading on the net and buying illegal CDs/DVDs, but at the same time people responsible for publishing do a very bad work. I say the people responsible for 2000 Astroboy episodes publishing outside Japan deserve to be fired :angry:
