Hey every1, i was thinking to myself the other day and thought it would be cool to have a series of astro flash movies. We could get a team of ppl together and create our own astro series.

Most of us here are big fans of the 80's series, so why not make our own 80's inspired astro flash, of course it could have new stories etc but it will have heart unlike the new series.

Anyway i can't animate, but thats really the point of getting together a team. So if any1's interested in helping to create a new astro series come here to join up.

Well if we are comparing the 80's and the new series, the 80's eps had more heart and soul in them.

Never mind the heart content of the 80's series. I want to join this 'team'!
I am the process of learning Flash and I know how to animate a little. I have already spent three quarters of my school year studying flash so I know how to navigate Flash. Unluckily, I'm only using Flash 5. I hate Flash MX of any other version because for me Flash 5 is the best. The only problem I have is time. I don't have all the time in the world to make an animation but I will try my best.

Of course if this gets off the ground there will proberly be more than one animator so people aren't overwealmed and stuff. Any1 else interested? it should be fun to do!

I would like to join but I don't know any flash knowledge and only a little c++ knowledge.

I don't if I can really help coz I really don't have the time to animate a 1 minute cartoon how else a whole episode.

ok..anyway the eps wouldn't go really long. If we were ever going to have a long ep it still wouldn't go over 10 mins.

But yes even a 10 min ep would take quite a long time to animate. Lets hope theres some1 who knows flash that will be willing to help.

You guys can always help with other stuff if you want aswell. Like stories etc..

I fully intend getting hold of Flash and learning how to use it in the new year. Not that it will be much use in this situation. What we need is someone who already knows how to use it.

Keep in mind fellas, that usually just making "Trailers" or "Music Video Clips" can take MONTHS.. and they only go for about 3 minutes. Taking on entire episodes and trying to tell them in a very short amout of time is an extreemly had and time consuming task. For this point just being able to write a propper story that only takes, say, 6 minutes to tell if difficult. This is why most of the amateur home animations etc you find are trailers or "AMV", because they are more efficient uses of time and method.
